You may have noticed that drones are becoming something of a common sight when homes go on the market. It’s safe to say there is somewhat of a marketing revolution underway in the real estate industry. Professionals are turning to drone photography and video to gain a marketing edge more frequently now than ever before.
The Federal Aviation Administration lifted restrictions on drone piloting in 2016 – meaning aerial drones are approved for commercial use, opening them up to a host of industries. They are especially appealing to real estate professionals that rely on new marketing channels to stay ahead of their competition.
Aerial drone video and photography provide an unprecedented view of every property. Remember that old real estate marketing slogan for buyers?
“It’s all about location, location, location.”
Drone video and imagery give buyers a great sense of the property and surrounding area. It makes things like nearby parks, traffic patterns, and other amenities easy to see without physically being there.
It is a challenge to provide compelling imagery for real estate marketing purposes. Putting an effective package together requires great piloting, editing and creative skills.
TopShot recently finished a marketing package for Succeed Real Estate/Keller Williams that included the following:
The package showed the outside of the structure with quite a bit of detail.
The aerial drone video presents a good sense of the surrounding area and amenities.
We used the interior pictures that the agent provided and included them in a unique and clever way throughout the video. We were able to keep the focus on the home and deliver the interior shots with the fly-outs.
TopShot provided Success Real Estate with plenty of visually stimulating information – enough to grab the attention and book several showings.
